Mazel tov!

Highlights from this week:

-We taught seminary this week! It was my first ever early morning
seminary class, and it was rough to get up for. I give all of my
respect to you who went to early morning seminary!
-We found a new pet in our house- a little mouse who we named Pierre.
Luckily Pierre likes peanut butter and we conveniently placed some on
a mouse trap.
-We had some incredible lessons with people that we are teaching.
There is a young couple who are youth pastors at their church and
extremely interested in our beliefs. They had fabulous questions and
we can see them as good future Young Men and Young Women Presidents!
Another is a 17 year old girl who basically knows everything before we
even teach her. She started coming to church with a few friends from
school and already studies the Book of Mormon more intently than any
teenager that I know. When I think of her, I always think of the
phrase, "honest seekers of truth."
-Even missionaries need to be reminded of the power of prayer through
simple experiences. We lost our phone and didn't find it until we
finally remembered to pray!
-"Heavenly Father still lets us make covenants with Him even though He
knows that we won't always keep our end." -Elder Marguettes in my
district. Wow! Insightful, isn't that?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only church on
earth with the fullness of the gospel! Knowledge is power and it
requires effort to gain that knowledge. Seek it out! It is worth it! I
love this Church and the Plan that will take me back to my Heavenly
Father. I love my Savior. And I love serving Him by serving His
people.

Love, Sister Amber Ricks
